Domiciliary Physiotherapy

(Physiotherapy in your home)

Azzurro’s Domiciliary Physiotherapy Service helps patients to reach and maintain the best level of independence they can, and to manage their condition(s) in their place of residence, whether it is their own home, residential home or nursing home. Our physiotherapists work with patients, family members, carers, other agencies and other professionals to help each patient achieve their optimum level of independence and mobility. The team uses the best available evidence to guide and inform their clinical practice.

What is the role of a physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease. A Physiotherapist will also help to encourage development and facilitate recovery, enabling people to remain independent for as long as possible and achieve their goals.

At Azzurro, you can be confident that we'll be using treatments that are proven to be effective because we only use evidence-based treatments.

We can help to:

  • Relieve pain

  • Improve strength

  • Facilitate healing

  • Rehabilitate from injury or surgery

  • Improve mobility

  • Improve balance

  • Reduce risk of falls

  • Relieve joint problems

  • Rehabilitate neurological conditions

Regular exercise is also proven to be beneficial in many other ways; improving mood, energy levels and motivation. We have already helped many patients rediscover their verve through energising, supportive and structured sessions. It is never too late to start and many patients and families choose to continue with us after seeing the fantastic, hugely positive effect our regular treatments can have on quality of life.
